Theatre 7 Rocks the AIDS Walk, October 19th, 2008!
Hi Friends!
I am so excited today, because today we registered Theatre 7 as a team for the 2008 AIDS Walk!
When we started Theatre 7, one of our (many) goals was to be a theatre company that gave back to the community. We did not want to be a self-centered group of artists, as (lets face it), many artists are. We all see the arts, especially the performing arts, as a way to bring people together. To celebrate life. To celebrate our differences. To celebrate our strength.
Well, I can't think of a better way to do that than to support the AIDS Walk. APLA (AIDS Project Los Angeles) is dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease; reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV- related public policy. APLA provides an abundance of services to those living with HIV - insurance, food pantry, dental services, home health care, nutrition education, work services, and much, much more.
So, please help us help them by supporting the Theatre 7 team in this years AIDS Walk. Click here for our team page: Theatre 7 AIDS Walk Team Page.
Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated!
And, if you want to be a SuperStar and join our little team, message us here - we'll hook you up!

The Looooong Road to Non-Profit
Hi all,
So, it's been forever since I've posted, and that is mainly because I have been trapped under a very large and very heavy deal of non-profit paperwork. Samantha was under there with me too (get your head out of the gutter, people...)
Anyway, after a very long and very frustrating era of jumping through governmental hoops, I am extremely proud to say that we are now an actual non-profit company. At least in California. The Feds still have to give us our final paperwork. Nevertheless, I am counting this as a victory.
Now we can move on to the fun stuff. And, we can ask for your help. The first one is quite simple, and will not cost you a single penny.
What if Theatre 7 earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our artistic endeavors? Well, now it can!
GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!
GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting the theatrical community of Los Angeles.
Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Theatre 7 as the charity you want to support. And, be sure to spread the word!
Go to the following website:
GoodSearch: http://www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=875982
Secondly, we are throwing a Tupperware Fundraiser, hosted by the one and only Cassie Roll! This is NOT your mother's Tupperware Party! There will be fun, merriment, cocktails and treats of the retro variety, and plenty of time to touch the Tupperware! Hope to see you there! Not only will you be supporting the arts (and anything you purchase is tax deductable), you can get your hands on some top notch Tupperware!
Sunday, June 29th, 12:30pm, at my place in Hollywood. Message us for the address!
We at Theatre 7 hope to see all your bright smiling faces on the 29th, but if you can't make it, please use GoodSearch! It takes a village to make great theatre - we need you!
Until next time,

A special thank you to Marc Mercury and Mercury Theater Productions!!!
With The Full Monty behind us we are able to look back and give thanks to the man who made it
all possible, Marc Mercury.
To simply say that Mr. Mercury agreed to be our Executive Producer does not explain what this
man did for us. Yes, he did all the paper work and fronted the money - but he went well beyond.
He organized the team, encouraged the cast members, solved problems both small and large, tended bar, took tickets,
sat patrons, organized websites and almost single handedly built our set. And about that last task ... Since he works
during the day and we would be rehearsing in the evenings, well, that means the set had to (somehow) get built
overnight. And that is exactly what happened. Mr. Mercury would be there from Midnight to 4 a.m. most nights so
that this "show that wouldn't die" could have a set. And it was a wonderful set to play on for 8 weeks. I personally
will miss Marc's presence at every performance, belly laughing from the audience as if this was
his first time seeing the show.
So, "Thank you!" Marc Mercury, for trusting us and for heading the family of The Full Monty.
